Health SPA

A patient research about Deco themes continues in the main part of the complex, aside the hotel, housing the old thermal baths.
The SPA vibrates with the dark green shades of serpentine marble with split-face finish.

It expands into a system of half-lit spaces – a metaphor for caves that tunnel deeper and deeper in search of miraculous water, being finally invaded by it. The traditional Pecchioli tiles, which cover the niches at the end of the corridors, recall the building original tiles and bring back the squeaky voice of Deco style to the silent rooms.

The bottom of the swimming pool is brightened by shimmering reflections bouncing off the mosaic tiles.

Villa Santalea

Every house gives a shape to the emotions, the needs, the nature of its owners; it guards and hides the private dimension.

This villa builds a brick screen on the street side, celebrating a material which is deeply connected to the local memory; on the rear, it discloses with wide windows on an accurately designed garden, a swimming pool and on the smooth lines of the countryside.

Inside, enveloping atmospheres warmed by the tones of eucalyptus wood, in contrast with light and smooth plasters.

The villa is a perfect balance of monolithical shapes softened by the green, meant to be as one with the land on which it stands.

The Lagoon Residence

Boavista: the easternmost of ten islands shaped by the fire of ancient volcanoes, in the endless expanse of the central Atlantic, off the Senegalese coast. A land with unique suggestions, a crossroads of routes and cultures, a dialogue of primary elements: the sun, the wind and the ocean.
Here, time slows down and makes room for well-being; here, virgin nature allows architecture only measured and wise gestures.
This is how we imagined The Lagoon Residence.

The project was developed with a marked attention to details and raw materials, sewing luxurious seafront villas which satisfy modern needs for relaxation and privacy.

The villas, with swimming pool and private garden, integrate perfectly with the surrounding landscape; their large spaces maximize comfort. The fresh and relaxing style is an invitation to relax, but also to go out, put your feet up in the fine sand and enjoy the wonder of the sea of Boavista.

The location is unique on the island. The villas of Lagoon are conveniently located, between charm and modernity. In fact, they blend harmoniously with the dreamy paradisiacal atmosphere of Estoril beach, which they overlook.

Lagoon Residence

In Boa Vista, under a compact sky full of light, men’s hands must not add, they should just remodel.

Lagoon architecture is based on material hints that soften the abstract features of International Style, yet all areas are defined by a markedly contemporary language that is equally distant from an easy-going regionalism.
The use of raw materials connects the openly contemporary language of the buildings architecture with local colours and atmospheres.

The light-coloured stone of the external covers mixes harmoniously with the rough wood of the sun-shading roofs. The carefully-sized windows offer a view of the landscape without affecting the privacy of each housing unit.

Villa Buredda

Halfway up on the hillside behind Palau, Villa Buredda builds a patient and silent relationship
with the context by means of an organic series of introverted and extroverted spaces.

The living room defines an intimate and comfortable place, playing with floor levels, but leaves your eyes gaze to the sea through wisely calibrated openings; on the other hand, the dining room merges into the terrace and towards the pool, in a perfect and quiet sequence.

Volumes permeate one another under the slight gradient of coverings, while the use of raw materials recalls the local natural elements and connects the guests’ emotions to the energy of an extraordinary land.

Private penthouse

in Sliema - Malta

The interior design project of this exclusive private penthouse has turned upside-down the usual configuration of spaces: the sleeping area downstairs, the living upstairs. The living room is thus pushed upwards, standing as a lighthouse which gives back at night all the sunlight harvested during the day, through the wide windows; your eye moves from the interiors, luminous, refined and aerial, to the swimming pool bordering the terrace and at last, in the distance, the Mediterranean Sea.

The creative process introduces in a urban flat the atmospheres of a countryside villa, redefining the identity of a suburban area as a meeting point of two contrasting dimensions.
The energy of this duality shapes up the spaces, between sociality and privacy; the metropolis, with its vibrating lights, stands as a perfect background for this quiet place for living.

Grand Hotel Castrocaro

Past is not a mere heritage to us; it is tradition.
The matter, molded by architecture, is not inanimate but full of strength and memories.

Through the coherence of details, an exceptionally complex system of spaces becomes a choral narration.
The compositive sequence runs through the renewed Grand Hotel building, from the common areas of ground floor with the majestic “Piacentini” restaurant.

It continues along the main staircase, enfolded in the sober elegance of Black Marquina marble; it touches the first and second floor bedrooms, for which a slight refitting of coatings, upholsteries and accessories was enough.

It culminates in the third and fourth floor suites, where classical materials as serpentine and brass match with winding shapes, reflections and the neat shades of furniture details.

Each passage, each detail of this 250 sqm penthouse reflects the needs and nature of the landlord; a customized logo, specifically designed, in repeated on floorings, furniture and accessories.

The materials generate a balanced alternance of light tones and metallic reflections; thick and soft tapestries dialogue with polished marble coverings, lacquered woods and wide windows, open on the marina and some of the most amusing views on the island.

Representative needs, thanks to the harmony of spaces and the stylistic coherence, merge with the need of creating a personal and authentic domestic atmosphere.

Cà Madeira

The building leaves the leading role in the play to the enchanting landscape of Boavista; a simple quadrangular volume with terraces defines its external surface and its relationship with the horizon through a thin, delicate and dynamic frame. The abstract representation of a house on the tree pushes the serene completeness of the dwelling into the realm of dream, play, into the fantasy of tireless children.

Inside, the power of stereotomy is somehow suspended by a full-height cavedio, also working as a staircase, which welcomes and keeps the deep blue sky; in the rooms, the raw materials are balanced by refined details and abstract surfaces. The night lighting of the facade dissolve its consistency; almost weightless, the terraces dance in the darkness.
